Happy Holidays

Posted by Victoria Strauss for Writer Beware

The Writer Beware blog will be on holiday hiatus for the next two weeks. I will still be answering email, though, so if you have a question, feel free to contact me at the email address in the sidebar.

Many, many thanks to our readers, followers, and fans--and especially to all the writers who contact us to let us know about their writing and publishing experiences, good and bad. You are why we do this.

See you in 2015.

Dear fellow author/s

I just received an email from a James Millard, from the attorney-generals office, and he has said, " We have a judgment against Mr Fletcher. However, we have not received payments toward that judgment since 2015. We have been engaged in the discovery process to determine what assets/income may be available to help pay toward the judgment. Thereis currently a case manement conference hearing set in this case on January 9, 2019.

I hope this gives some hope of restitution from Mr Fletcher. What do you think? Can you enlighten me with this issue?

Have a Happy Christmas, and a great new year.

Kind Regards

Raymond Dale

Mr Dale, would you share that email with me? . I know that Fletcher hasn't paid, and it would be good news if the Attorney General were finally following up on that.

The author restitution amount is small--just $125,000. I would assume that only authors who filed a complaint with the AG would be eligible.

Could you also do me (and other authors) a favor and leave your comment on this post, which deals with the settlement that Fletcher has apparently been violating?

Dear Victoria, I am sorry I have not got the full details in regards to the settlement Fletcher has been apparently been violating. That email was all I received from the Attorney Generals office. .....I ask Mr Millard what do you want me to do? Is there any thing I can do? and he told me, No, there is nothing I can do. I was thinking in money terms, and that is the answer I received. But you say The author restitution amount is $125,000 thats a lot of money for someone who has been ripped off by this man Fletcher.
